What’s Good Fam?
So, What’s Good Fam?
A thing no one tells you about DIY marketing and website administration is, when things are going well there never seems to be a good time to devote a day or whatever to blogging.
Speaking only for myself, my best work rarely comes from writing and channeling the SEO magic words from a passenger seat of the production van on the way to a shoot. With that in mind here’s what we have been up to recently.
On the PTN programming front, Matt Smith has been waist-deep in the scheduling software. Managing the thousands of files of content and creating blocks of entertaining and informative television which has the potential to be seen by 28 million eyeballs. Our friends at the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau have been cranking out the content covering the 4 counties extremely well. Matt has inputs from all over region now and he’s handling the increased pace as one would expect from a young professional.
Way back in January we produced a commercial spot for the PMVB to run during the Superbowl®. They are looking to raise the profile of some of the more romantic and high-end hospitality vendors throughout the region. TOP and PMVB collaborated on a fun script that put Coach Chris Barrett on the party gridiron. That spot can be seen here, it is a cute spot and our efforts earned a bronze Telly® award.
In the Spring, Take One Productions teamed up with Jersey Jibs to create a series of commercial spots to promote the NASCAR® Pocono 400 race at the Pocono Raceway. Jersey Jibs has a camera car rig that is capable of providing high quality image recording at high(way) speeds. The spots created for the race and some promotions surrounding the race were well received, you can check out the race day spot here.
Kevin’s skill for relationship building and maintenance rekindled a working partnership with an old friend, Martin Bispels. Martin has created a business with a website that offers boutique rock and roll memorabilia for avid collectors. We helped produce a live remote location segment from Asbury Park, New Jersey featuring a Grateful Dead cover band (Rainbow Full of Sound) and the opportunity to purchase roughly 30 items featuring the artistry of Jerry Garcia. We are excited to reconnect with Martin and hope we can continue to find ways to work together.

We teamed with old friend Martin Bispels to help kick of Retroactv.com’s website by producing a concert and sales video from Asbury Park New Jersey
Of course, we’ve been keeping an eye out for new technology and equipment to enhance our production efforts. This has brought the Edelkrone® slider dolly and remote-control head into our production sphere as well as the Steadicam Axis®, Tiffen’s answer to the gimbal-mania craze that all the kids love.

We’re always looking for new ways to create quality images, including the Steadicam Axis® a big ol’ jib and a FPV drone, we like things that are nice.
This summer we were delighted to learn a long-form documentary about Woodloch Resort we produced was nominated for a Mid-Atlantic Emmy® award. This is a tough region that includes Philadelphia and Pittsburgh among other strong production areas. The work needs to be high quality to receive a nomination in our region. We’re proud of the work and are pleased to see our peers recognized its quality also. You can watch a cutdown version of that show here.

All hands on deck for a day of broll shooting at Woodloch resort. We had a great day and captured some great images.
So yeah, things are good. We’ll try to keep the time between posts to less than a calendar year in the future. Even if the saying no news is good news turns out to be true.
Remember, kindness grows when we share it. Keep on shining.
